Screening technology
Ultrasonic screener
The ultrasonic screener superimposes high-frequency excitation of the cloth on the screening motion. Static, hygroscopic and agglomerating powders remain screenable, including duties that must separate below 20 microns.
Operating principle
An ultrasonic transducer couples high-frequency vibration into the screen cloth. Apertures stay open because deposits and agglomerates are continually broken up. Cuts below 20 microns can therefore be run without the mesh blinding immediately. Lower mechanical stress extends cloth life compared with coarse vibration alone.
Where this machine is used
Ultrasonic screening machine for pharma, food, cosmetics, metal-powder, ceramic and chemical plants – especially where fine, hygroscopic or agglomerating powders blind the mesh.
Advantages
Cloth excitation against blinding
Fine screening below 20 µm possible
Longer screen-cloth life
Suitable for hygroscopic powders
